For the perfect lasting finish to single and double stick installations. The underlay seams should be taped before applying the top adhesive. If the standard waterproof seaming tape is used the top adhesive will not adhere to it. In time this is likely to cause a shadow line where the carpet is not stuck to the underlay. This tape eradicates this problem by ensuring strong adhesion between carpet and underlay across the underlay joins.
